I Suppose You Could Call It Hybernating...

Props!! =]

It's been 3 whole months since I posted! That means I haven't posted an article since I finished school for 2008. Which is weird, because that would have been when I had the most time... hmm.

Here, I'll make it up to you...

Have some photos:

Made by me on Photoshop, using 35 seperate images from Flickr.

This is MAD! Props go to rideracelife!

Danke Schöne!

Cheers Nixie22!

This'll just about do for this post...

Boom boom boom boom, I want you in my room.

Things To Do Before I'm 21

Thanks to jeffelix69.

I was randomly trawling the Internet (as you do when you're bored and on holiday) and I came across a few sites with little 'Things to do before you turn 21/18/etc.'
So I thought I'd put them on here, and see just how many things I have to accomplish over 5 years.

Wish me luck! :)

This one was found on the seventeen.com website.

1. Take a road trip.
Nope, still gotta do this. I have to get my licence first...going for my Ls next Tuesday!!

2. Learn to play a musical instrument.
Yep. Achieved by a mile... guitar, bass, drums, piano, trumpet, etc.

3. Go skinny-dipping!
Did this when I was a kid, but that doesn't count, right? Hmm, well I DO live near the beach now...

4. Save $1,000.
Oh man, I'm so far off this one...

5. Know your grandparents.
Done, done, done.

6. Buy a lottery ticket.
soon as I'm 18... until then...

7. Win an award.
Been there, done that. Many-a-time. But I'm modest :)

8. Say "I love you."
Check. Done.

9. Learn to drive a stick shift.
Manual in Aussie terms. Well, I'm getting my ls next week (fingers crossed!!)

10. Milk a cow.
How random. Done.

11. Forgive someone.
I try not to hold grudges anyway. So, done.

12. Have your fortune told.
Good idea. I should do this sometime.

13. Go to a drive-in.
Drive in movie I assume? Hell yes I wanna do this!! Retro much!?

14. Do your own laundry.
I would be naked if I didn't.

15. Ride a horse.
Done. Yay for me!

16. Donate your formal dresses.
I think I'll wear them first.

17. See the ocean.
I live near it. Taste the ocean lol

18. Waitress at least once.
Done this one too. The first time was at a year 12 formal. It was actually pretty bad. One of my mates managed to spill a raspberry mocktail, and it manage to splat a bit on one poor girl's back. Whoops.

19. See one thing that is "the world's largest."
Done. Several times. The Big Banana, The Big Pineapple, The Big Merino, The Big Prawn, The Big Trout... etc etc.

20. Leave the country.
Sooo gotta do. I wanna go to England.

21. Learn how to love your body.
Work in progress, I think.

VERDICT: I have done 12 out of 21 things I should do.

And from ListAfterList.com we have 18 things to do before you turn 18.

1. Ride the world's biggest roller coaster. Dare to keep your eyes open and hands in the air for the whole ride. Hmm good idea. I should really do that!! I love roller coasters!

2. Bungee jump. Scared? At 700ft, the Bloukran's river bridge in South Africa is the biggest. Hell yes, i wanna do this too!

3. Score the winning goal/basket. Remind all your friends at every given opportunity. I'm the goalie. I save the winning goals.

4. Win an award, trophy or prize. Write that acceptance speech and thank the world. Done. But I haven't given a thank you speech.

5. Learn to play an instrument. No air guitar Wow. They really DO want us to learn eh?

6. Go backstage at a gig. It'll be something you'll boast about for years to come. Hmm, might go to a gig first. Joking. I just haven't been backstage.

7. Meet your idol. Being a celebrity stalker might not go down well. I met Kevin Rudd. That count?

8. Play a part in your favorite TV show. Be an extra and learn to speak without talking. Dude, we're meant to do this all before we're 18? Come off it.

9. Meet someone with your own name. With a world population of 6 billion, it should be easy. Especially if you're name's John Smith.

10. Make a discovery. Whatever the discovery, make sure it's named after you. Again i say-before we're 18?!

11. Get away with the perfect practical joke. Be careful of retaliation; it could end in tears. Oh, I love it!

12. Own a pointless collection. One person's junk is another person's prized possession. My whole room is full of it. Brilliant!

13. Invent a word that makes it into the dictionary. Make it a part of your crew's lingo. It made it into urban dictionary. That's enough, right?

14. Conquer your biggest fear. If you're too scared, try hypnotism. I have no fear. I am the greatest!! What IS my biggest fear?

15. Raise money for charity. Get some exercise by signing up for a charity road race. Ah, the old Good Samaritan act. Been there, done that.

16. Pass your driving test the first time. Go straight to the next task. Oh, believe me, I will. I hope. Next week!! ARGH!

17. Complete a road trip coast to coast. Route 66 originally ran from Chicago to Santa Monica. Yeah, well, I'm in Australia. My coastal road trip was moving up here from southern NSW.

18. Reach 18 years of age. Embrace old age. Hey, the arthritis is bad enough at 16.

"Man who stand on toilet high on pot."

How to Move On in 4 Easy Steps

Thanks Edward Dullard!!

Let's face it. We've all had something bad happen to us. Whether it's a bad break up, the death of a loved one, or something between.

But we all need to get back on our feet, wave the crash remains goodbye, and stumble our way into bigger and better things in life. IT'S NOT THE END OF THE WORLD. It seems like it is at the time. Trust me, I've been there.

But how can you pick our self up from this seemingly life destroying bump and move on?

First, admit that it happened. You can't fix a leaky tap if it isn't leaking, right? Denying that the event happening is just going to make it even worse when it come to the crunch time.

Second, allow yourself to grieve. There is absolutely no law anywhere that states you cannot cry. Allow yourself time to cry, scream, laugh, jump around the house, run, or whatever else is it when you grieve. Allow yourself to be angry.
I find that setting a time frame to grieve helps. Don't let yourself be upset for more than, say, a week. Let all your emotions out. Drain the tank. Then move onto

step three. Acknowledge that it was just another test in your life, that it has made you stronger as a person. Learn from it. Don't look back on it as a bad thing, look back at it as a lesson. I like to think 'Well, look at that, life. You just rolled this huge-arse bowling ball down my life-lane, hoping to get a strike. Well, sucked in. I'm stronger then you think.' Pick up that boulder of a ball, and send it rolling home.

Fourth and finally, don't hate. Do not hate. Don't hate yourself or others, because hate is just going to keep reminding you of the why you hate them, and remind you of the event.

Good luck.

Remember; it isn't your fault. Whatever doesn't kill you can only make you stronger.

It's been a while...

Many thanks toRobin papa!

A week, actually.

It's been hectic with school and assignments.

I took a mechanical baby the other day-Monday and Tuesday night... Nightmare!! I ended up getting 95%, which was pretty cool.

I absolutely bucketed down today. And I had to walk to school. I walk across the oval. It was insanely wet! I was tempted to get a body board, I tell you.

Here's a poem I wrote the other night. Our cat's been missing 3 weeks today :(

Its called SAM, as that's our cats name.

Silent night, starry night,
Full, round, beaming moon.
Show, tell, reveal,
your secrets to me soon.

Show a black streak,
racing across the night,
Quick, fast agile,
racing to the light.

Show me a planet,
circling the sky,
Round, bright,perfect,
it doesn't even try

And show me your heart,
beating openly,
pure, clean, even,
hidden deeply

But do not show the pain,
the suffering of most.
Pain, hate, anguish,
haunts like a ghost

Silent night, starry night,
full, round, beaming moon.
Show, tell, reveal,
your secrets to me soon.

Not one of my best, but it's alright I 'spose.

Hope its all going swimmingly in your river.

Bang.
Smash.
Crash.

It's raining men...

Lovely lightning thanks to encouragement :)

Whoo... Its raining outside. Which is actually quiet nice, as I'm inside watching it cascade down the windows. I hope it storms tonight. Storms are sooo rad!!

How good is lightning? Its so amazing to watch, and it's never the same. It's also so great as its so dangerous, but yet so beautiful. A bit like some animals. Like the anenome. That thing is so rad!
And the box jelly fish. It has the best life ever!! Flaoting around until something swims into its domain then, BAM, you're gone.
And those bugs that are so bright, when their whole purpose is to tell you to stay away, you always want to get that little bit closer.

1.
Bugs like this little fella

Thats all for today.

Cute Words *squeeze*

Thanks to snippy.snippy.crap.kristine for this uber-cute candy mosaic! I could eat it all up!

There's some words that just sound so cute. They feel warm and fuzzy. They're fun to say. They make you happy. They prove that although English may be a horrible subject, there's also a bright side.

Some cute words*:
♥ bellybutton fluff
♥ bubble
♥ squishy
♥ cupcake
♥ raspberry
♥ squelch
♥ foofy
♥ fuzzle
♥ ruffle
♥ titular

*some of these may of may not be made up :)

Do you feel the happy waves coming already?

And remember, when you feel sad, keep in mind that rubber duckies smile through anything and everything. They see lots of people naked and keep smiling :P You should too! :) (the smiling, not the seeing lots of people naked ;) )

Quack quack!

A dirty little town on the Thames is calling you away...

Thanks Akcjia / Katarina 2353!!

Oh my god. Watching the closing ceremony last night of the Olympics my love for this city was just revived. City being London. So, yeah, I've never been there, but if I could live anywhere, it would be there. It's way nice. Nice to see Becks was there :)

And on the topic of Olympics... Michael Mitcham!! You bloody legend!! He is freaking rad. For anyone who doesn't know (ie, you live under a rock or aren't Australian), he was on his last dive, trailing 108 points to China. So he stood there, no hope of winning gold (he was in the silver position) and he pulled out an amazing 112.6 point dive! 4 10s and 3 9.5s. It was amazing!! He broke China's almost definite run of 8 out of 8 diving gold medals.

Congratulations to all our athletes. You did us all proud. Unfortunately, now we have to watch lame-o TV shows as the network has no more sport to show. Thanks...

Aussie aussie aussie!!

Peesh.

Sick today... :(

Thanks toPip_Wilson for this image :)

A day alone with a cold-y flu thing I got from Mum. Thanks mum. Here's a piece of creative writing I did late last year. It was actually the first piece of creative writing I did. I was pretty happy with it.

Our stimulus was 'Sense of Place.' Here's where I took it:

She whispers in my ears. A constant dull thudding, always calling me. Always there. Her deep blue eyes bore into mine, everywhere I look. I can feel the scraping along my feet. My legs. The cool, calming rush upon my toes. But she runs away. Just as she has done for the past million years. Leaving nothing but a white trail to show her path, before coming up to erase it yet again. Treading the path shown to her by her forefathers, who live for such a short time. I take a step. Feel her embrace clamping around my ankles. The dull throbbing as she ebbs around me.

Rise.

Fall.

Rise.

Fall.

Rising, only to fall, disappearing as fast as she came. Leaving a mere imprint of smoke upon my legs. The smell out salt reaches my nose. The sea breeze has finally blown in. To blow away the pain.

Breathe deep.

Bend down.

Blasted by the untame blue monster. The bitter-sweet taste is fresh in my mouth. That taste of all the sea-life, the taste of salty sands, sure upon my tongue. My teeth. As yet again she breathes,

falling,

rising,

falling,

rising.

Rising up, only to fall yet again. She is silent for a moment. Only a moment. But she makes up for the stillness will a breath. Louder. Bigger. Better. My knees are wet now. The cool breeze makes the wetness on my body turn icy. Stepping out, picking up my soft towel, wrapping the warm comfort about me. Stepping onto the rough, untidy sands. Ripping under my skin. But I will return.

Hope you likey.

First Post! *blows out candle*

Ooh first post!! YAY!! I'm pumped for what this could be. Hopefully I give you something entertaining to read over time. HOPEFULLY.

I wil try to update this as much as possible. It may be a bit hard with school and sport, but I'll do my best.

I apologise in advance for any bad spelling errors. My computer can be a bit hows-ya-father at times.

And sorry if any of the images I use here are actually yours. I don't mean to use them for my personal gain. if you want me to remove them, I will.

Ending on a positive note, I hope you like what this is turning out to be :)
